I'm about to interview for a VP position at a startup but have never managed before. Is it smart, as a Black woman, to ask directly about support for mangers (ie supporting me is one of my reports didn't want to listen to me, etc)? Or maybe I can ask but very vaguely and indirectly? This is a 2nd (3rd, 4th & 5th over the course of the next 2 days) interview that includes the founders of the company.
Just finished an in person interview. I felt like it went horribly. When I asked what I can expect for next steps, the interviewer said “we’ll discuss and I’ll let recruiter know to have (cont)

I was finally received an offer my dream position and I am thrilled but the on boarding process will be delayed by 6 months. However, I also applied for the same position two years ago and was rejected. This time around, I reached out to an internal contact who helped me get an interview. I am kicking myself for not reaching out sooner, two years ago. really sad about it.

How soon do you follow up after an interview? My interviewers told me to follow up with HR after a few days if I don't hear anything, but I hate being pushy.

Should I just directly Slack someone in Sloan adcomms asking them whether they’ll send admitted and/or enrolled student a gift? I was really looking forward to that book man.
Received a verbal offer from a recruiter congratulating me on clearing the final round. However did not receive a written offer or what the TC package would look like. They have started the right to work checks and the investments / pension plan declaration. Is this normal? Should I send across any documents or wait for the written offer to come through (not even sure if the terms offered would be favourable!!)? Anyone faced a similar situation / have any advice on how to proceed? Thanks!

In the second stage of an interview process that involves a take home project that is due when you want. Recruiter said to not spend more than 3-4 hours on it. I recently worked with a recruiter from Robert Half for a position they contacted me about but I ended up not getting an offer. Recruiter mentioned that if I am interested in other job listings they can help me get more information, etc. My question for you all, what are the pros/cons of getting them involved with getting more info about listings I see? The experience I had with RH was mostly positive. I think the negatives were with the company and not RH.

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
