Recently sworn into NY bar, looking to transition from litigation to transactional work. Is it possible to have part time employment as an attorney doing transactional work? And I'm trying to move from employment litigation to health/environment law, how difficult would this be?

Side note. I have a few peers waiting to get sworn in after taking the February bar. Did you get sworn in during covid? Could you tell me the timeline? They are all dying for answers

Call the dept at issue--they're usually helpful over the phone.

Transactional is harder PT bc deals dont stop when you want to clock out. Funds work tends to be more boring but more lifestyle friendly. PT work is rare in corporate for juniors bc the learning curve is steep. You can always freelance or look for PT commercial work though....
