Know that you will get through this. I had to take the Gace several times before I passed. What I remember from the test they repeat the questions as well as used the same questions from other states test. When I was taking the test I googled practice questions from different states. If the question is not the same then it very similar. I also brought the online practice Gace which helped me a lot.

What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!

Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled

Looking for a suggestion for a date spot that would be convenient and a good halfway meeting point: i’m in Murray Hill and my date is coming from Astoria. I usually have my dates meet me here when they live in Manhattan but I think somewhere halfway would be more fair in this case. Ideas?

1. Promotion and increment within the same company
OR
2. Switch to another company on same (before promotion) designation but with increased salary equal to the salary after promotion within the same company ( Refer to 1) 🤔

Hi! I'm a GedEd Middle School ELA teacher in Texas. This year I'm teaching 3 sections of coteach ELA and it's been a nightmare. I don't know if the coteach model is just a nighmare or if it's just the way my school/district has rolled it out that is making it a nightmare. Does anyone have experience with coteach? Any help is appreciated.

Parents want to send their children back to school not only for educational purposes but also for social interactions. I do understand that many children want that interaction with their friends and teachers. But I don't think it is going to be quite as rewarding as many think with social distancing and face coverings to be safe. No high fives, pats on the back, sharing earbuds to listen to a new song, or consoling an upset friend. Even facial expressions are lost. Tough times.

Good Morning everyone, I am trying to work on my benchmarking for the beginning of the year. The school uses Fast Bridge for Math and English/Reading Comprehension however Fast Bridge does not have anything for Writing. What kind of process are you using to assess a SLD in Writing. My Mentor told me to make it up....there isn't a state standard for this?

Just wanted to share this with people who would understand. Had 4 IEP meetings last week. When the case manager asked one mother if she had any concerns she said her only concern was that her kindergarten son with autism loved me so much she was afraid of him being promoted and being out of my room. I told her not to worry, in our program I will have him for 2 more years. Boy that made me feel good.

My students come to my class first every morning and are really hard to settle. They continue to carry on whatever they were doing on the bus. It takes about 20 min to get them settled down and doing the warm up and the class is only 45 min. Any tips?

Hi!! What does your sped model look like?We were told to teach the gen ed curriculum w/ A&M to our pull-out kids & not focus on their goals cause we would teach them within the curriculum. Thoughts?

I went to my GE science teachers and asked for a comprehensive list of what is taught in biology in our GE classes. My goal is to take the main ideas and bring the concepts down to the level of my students to keep them moving at a similar rate. I was told they do not feel they can share that with me because we do not have our class assignments for next year yet.

SSSOOOO...can anyone help me come up with a Biology Concept list?
