Craigslist, seriously. You may also want to make sure it has an audio optical output which will allow you to easily connect to a sound bar.
Samsung!
I went into Best Buy and looked at the picture quality of everything they had in there and samsung really is the best. They may not be great at making phones but their visual technology is still ahead of their peers. Netflix has never looked better !
Vizio is best bang for buck. Samsung if you want to splurge.
And K1, I'll definitely check that out. I'm actually planing on selling my old one there, but for some reason it had not occurred to me to shop there as well
Check out the Deloitte Marketplace Perks at Work site. Samsung employee pricing, often good deals on there

Visios are a great value
Vizio*

I'd also prefer to stay on the lower end ($600-$800) but will go up to $1000 if that's needed for good quality
Think you can get a 60 LG or Samsung on Amazon. Slightly dated but solid
Vizio 65 inch 4K for 899 at sams club.
Also has anyone tried Walmart returned TVs? Would normally lean against it but they are pretty dang cheap
Would recommend against returned TVs. Anecdotal but both my girlfriend and buddy bought "refurbished" TVs that died within a coupla months.
I'll check that out DD1, I've never actually used perks for work
Vizio, downside only Samsung has HBO Go as a app
