I booked a hotel stay (at a Marriott Autograph Resort) in Belize for the end of May. Today I get a notice that the reservation has been canceled because the price I booked it at was apparently a glitch in their system. Any suggestions on how to handle this and who to contact? I have left a message with the hotel to call me back. Glitch or not, just canceling my reservation like that is incredibly unprofessional. I had booked flights already.

Chase ultimate rewards: So I found out chase ultimate rewards messed up with booking my vacation return flight. They forgot to get a ticket issued. I talked to customer support and the “best they could do” was book me on a different but similar flight, I would be getting back at midnight instead of noon and giving me 7k points for the inconvenience. For future reference was I entitled to more since that this error messes with my initial plans?

My roommate just went to see her boyfriend knowing he has Covid. I asked her not to go seeing as I’m not vaccinated and she said she needs to check on him (he has 3 roommates so he’s not alone). I told her that if she goes to see him I’m not comfortable with her coming back and asked if she could stay with him until they both get a negative Covid test. She said it’s crazy to ask her to not come home and said I should get a hotel if I’m that concerned.

Decent hotel recommendations in Manhattan? Thanks Edit: preference for midtown and UWS but open to anywhere within 30 min subway to midtown. Decent: best bang for your buck, quality you would stay at when traveling for work. Going to be only there at night while working all day so comfortable bed, good shower, safe and clean is the criteria

Currently, I am recruiting or trying to recruit without LinkedIn Recruiter. Management is having a hard time seeing the ROI from LinkedIn Recruiter because they have never used it. Most of my experience in recruiting has been using LinkedIn Recruiter as my go to source. Is there anything I can do to convince them otherwise? What can I say or do to get my foot in the door? I am confident that I can crush it but not even getting past the gatekeeper at this point.
