Have you considered something in management or human resources? Career counseling is always a good fallback option.
You could look at getting into customer success / account management or even implementation consulting or an associate product role for ATS product companies. You could even go into case management. I think the first question to ask yourself is what you enjoy and where you’d like to see your career go… then identify different pathways you can take to get there.
I don't blame you - I found myself burnt out after years of recruiting, too. If you're a good writer, I shifted into freelance content writing to give myself a break during the last 18 months. I write HR-focused content for companies looking to build out their websites. I may go back to recruiting eventually, but I enjoy WFH, setting my schedule, and the removal of the pay ceiling that freelancing provides.
