Input appreciated! As a second year associate, I have a reasonable 1800 billable requirement and make $70k, but I don’t feel aligned with the firm. I want more WLB and don’t care about making partner. I am considering pivoting to a contracts analyst position (glorified doc review) because it’s 100% remote, same pay, has a 40 hour cap (rather than my current minimum!), flexible hours, and no billables or stress. Would this be a bad idea for my career?

I am a first year associate and I work from home. I just found out I am pregnant, maybe 2-3 weeks along. When do i tell the firm? This is my first pregnancy, but still worried about the odds of miscarriage. My boss is a very supportive boss as is and he has young kids of his own so i don’t believe he would be upset. Has anyone dealt with chronic migraines? I’m pretty young and got used to them growing up. However,about twice a month they come on so strong I either have to WFH or come in late. They last several days and it’s so frustrating. I’m scared my boss/coworkers will start to think it’s literally “all in my head”.

I started usimg a standing desk, and now my calf muscles, ankles and knees are really sore. This is bizarre because I have been running a lot over the past 4 months, and have been an avid hiker and backpacker. Thoughts on why one's leg muscles may not be takimg kindly to justvstanding amd working? Anyone else experience this?
