I use Nationwide. It’s expensive but I get a discount through work and you can choose from different levels of coverage. I always get the highest one, especially now that my dog is getting older but I think it could be more reasonable if you get a lower tier. They’re generally good about reimbursements — last year my pup needed dental surgery which was around $1600 and I was able to get more than $1400 back pretty quickly. To me it’s worth it.

Nationwide is quick too on the reimbursements.

and thank you for adopting!! 💕

I use lemonade and it’s just ok. I’ve heard good things about the banfield plan, if you live near a banfield location

IDK maybe this is normal but they always find a way to take a $500 claim and only pay me back $150. Like, just nit picking every line item. And it takes like, six weeks to get reimbursed

I don’t have pet insurance for my dog, but my vet does offer a rewards program. It’s a flat annual fee for two exams and discounts on additional services, plus I earn points for purchasing flea/tick/heartworm meds and other items through the office. Definitely check to see if vets in your area offer something like this as it can be a great alternative to pet insurance especially if your dog is relatively healthy.

I have healthy paws and like it.

We like Healthy Paws

Also got an update that the dog has UTI and ear infection which was diagnosed 3 weeks ago. I read online that these are considered “curable” and can be covered after certain wait times post healing. Any experiences here?

my first dog had both on occasion - she was an older female beagle mix - older females get UTIs and beagles get ear infections. both are fairly easy to treat once diagnosed
[she lived to 16.5+ and I had her for 14+ of that - so we saw a lot over the years!]

We have Pets Best. It has been great! Not too expensive and has come in very handy during a couple of emergency situations over the years. We have 2 big dogs - a 4yo German Shepherd mix and a 2yo Rottweiler mix.

I use Embrace. It’s been OK. They’re just taking longer than a week to reimburse for an accident and checking precious records when it was a non medical issue, so that’s passing me of. Their wellness plan is decent.

How did everyone here get into sales? Would love to hear your stories!

I was getting out of the military, had no directly transferable work skills, and needed to make a living in an expensive city (San Diego). Started looking at my options and found that I could do menial labor for just above minimum wage OR I could learn to get people to buy things and make this wonderful thing called commission! Took a job in insurance sales and the rest is history! Been in sales for about 15 years now ❤️

Sorry for the seemingly stupid question, but what if I decided to have the doctor do an FET without any of the medication (PIO, estrace, etc.). I have a PGT-A tested embryo waiting in frozen state, I just can't mentally prep myself for all the injections. Is there a reason this wouldn't work?

Just heard that my district will have classroom and live-recording learning. I’m thankful because I now can feed my family, my newborn and a recent-sponsored wife! I’m scared because I’m almost 50 and I’m afraid I might catch the virus and die leaving behind my 1 month baby and a wife who is not legal in the state yet! The USCIS or Trump’s dept. thinks she’s not good enough to be in the US!! We applied for green card and SS card since August 2019!

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞

Any clue how much I can expect my body/bump to grow between 8w3d and 12w3d? I am small (5’4 115lbs) and so far have not gained any weight but my once mostly flat stomach is already not flat anymore and I have a tiny bump under my belly button. I need to figure out a dress for my work holiday party in 4 weeks. I don’t know if I will be able to wear my normal size if the dress has some room in the lower belly or if I will be bigger all over (even in the rib cage area) and will need a bigger size.

I’m on the work visa and was just laid off from tax. I honestly hated the busy seasons in the last year and was so miserable bc I had to stay to keep my status so I can get my GC, which was the biggest goal for years. Never thought I would grow to dislike my job. So the lay-off is a blessing in disguise in a way! The funny thing is, jobs I’ve heard back so far that sponsor the visa are in PA...I think for my well-being I should just go home, or am I too big of a coward for giving up my goal?

Hi everybody! Question: when you take your dog to the vet for annual exams, is blood work done? I've wondered if this is something I should be asking to have done to make sure my dogs are healthy and nothing really internal is happening. THANK YOU 😊

My 5.5mo puppy is sleeping a LOT - like awake for 45min and asleep for 3hrs or more. He doesn’t seem to want to play as much either - just crawls in my lap and falls asleep. Is this normal? The vet says he’s healthy but I worry.
