Any particular segment of sales good for ex-finance? Currently 3 years in at fortune 100 bank on business development side (on commercial loan originations team but no commission/targets at the associate level, basically do credit analysis and build pitch books for the producers) This role has been great as I have gotten both analytical experience and tasted sales experience (I say taste bc I’m not the producer) but would potentially like to transition to a sales role that is less analytical

I’ve been dabbling with the idea of getting into copywriting as something to soon the side but I have no experience doing it. What steps should I take (books to read, gigs to start with or pursue, etc) if I want to go from $0 and next to ) experience to $40k or so a year?

Right now I’m currently unemployed and taking a break from my fine art stuff to try to get back into tech sales, but I was looking to expand my skill set and also generate extra money at the same time.

My professional life at the moment is far from ideal. I’ve been on quarantine (long story, but a good one) for the last seven years. Royalties from my books don’t pay the bills. My entrepreneurial pursuits remain hampered. Need help on how I transition my career from Audit to Management Consultancy. I have only completed BCom and ACCA (UK Chartered Accountant) and have worked for over 2 years at EY.

Need advice in choosing between 2 offers :
Company 1 : $170k base + 10% bonus + 136k rsu + 5k sign on
Cons : junior title\level, hybrid

Company 2 : $150k base + 10% bonus
Pros : senior role\title, fully remote

Would you go for junior role for high salary? Would it hurt in future?
