Do you have a budget? Some of my fav hotels/resorts are: Ventana (Big Sur), Post Ranch Inn (Big Sur), Rosewood Miramar (Santa Barbara/Montecito, has a private beach) and Rancho Valencia (Rancho Santa Fe). There’s a bunch in the Santa Barbara to San Diego area, which would be great weather and relaxing, with a range of hotels for different budgets. My travel advisor could hook you up with some great perks if you’re interested in any of these, she has like special rates with hotels or something.
Any thoughts on the Ritz Carlton Bacara?
Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego
Also another +1 for Big Sur or Sequoia! Though they aren’t warm this time of year.
If you have Hyatt points (or Chase Sapphire points that can be transferred to Hyatt), the Alila Ventana Big Sur is a great value. Point (and cash) rates now include all meals, so for 30k points/night you’re getting a room that sells for around $2k/night.
The resort appears to be unavailable during the days that I am looking for
Any recommendations in the $200 or so per night? If not any marriott properties where we could use points would be great.
I recently found there’s a brand new spring hill suites in Carlsbad, right on the beach, supposedly with ocean view I’m guessing. It should be within your budget.
Considering the Ritz Carlton Bacara and reading mixed reviews about the property. Has anyone stayed there or have any feedback on places to stay in Santa Barbara?
