Maybe if we knew what AB was we could help here...

Know a bschool buddy who loves it there. Describes it as a work hard play hard culture. Said you will fail if you work with any reservations, you have to completely buy into their mission and go all in.

They sell you on bonuses and stock... ask what the historic bonus payout has been (super shitty) and look at their stock, basically every employee who thought their hard work would pay off (stock options) from the past 6 years has now been wiped away. O and the vesting is like 5 years for stock options. So make sure you negotiate a really good base salary bc the other fluff is just that: fluff. Also they are in a pickle as their product (beer) has and continues to lose share which just sucks from a morale perspective. On the flip side, it is a global company, makes shit load of money, bunch of smart people, and if you like the pressure to deliver it really is a fun place to be.

OP i should note that my friend told me the strategy team is probably a bit insulated from the rest of the firm since a lot of them are external hires, ex consultants. Lots of mbb present on the team

Culture and Benefits at AB? I bet the answer is ‘beer’.

Ask recruiter about benefits.

Thanks S&1!

They say they are building a new internal strategy team. They indicated that after 2 years, members spin off into dedicated roles within functions. Not much more info than that. S&1 — Did your friend know anything about that? Thanks for the insight!

I am used to quick promos and my new company is hiring someone with equal product exp to a more senior role than me, likely due to his 3 more yrs of overall experience. I’m taking the SPHR in less than 2 months and haven’t started studying for it. How difficult is it? I’ve been in HR for 20 years and have experienced ALOT in that time, although there are always employee relations scenarios that surprise me! How much do I really need to study for this? I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!
