Lol was this a consultant from iMango? I had the same offer a while back. I would avoid - a friend of mine worked for ByteDance and said the company culture is horrific

OP, ignore posts that just regurgitate stereotypes. If u want to have great food, experience a different culture, and see China for what it is, then u should. I personally think of life as an adventure, and so if I have this opportunity, I would give it try. Maybe in the end, the position is not for u at all, but everything else that u will see and build there will be worth it in my opinion.
