I'm currently working into RPA Presales, Solutioning (Solution Architect) and Delivery (Tech and people manager) at IBM.

Having made my way from a Java developer to Rpa developer and now into consulting, what would be the lead role for me next.

I have always been very resilient and can grasp any tech quickly as i already know Java, Dot Net, Python, RPA and SQL.

I’m really struggling mentally. The understanding of how insanely busy and overwhelming it will be because of this COVID-19 crap is giving me severe anxiety and panic attacks. I want to leave so badly but no one is hiring right now. I don’t know what to do. I feel trapped with no way out.

What’s the closest job role in consulting for the Tech Lead role in tech companies? I’m a technical lead focused on research and strategy for a digital strategy consulting firm but our roles have tech companies names… I do team leadership (42 people in 10+ teams/clients reporting to me) projects technical proposals and selling for new clients, methodologies leadership, help project managers… I wanna go to another consulting firm but I get a bit confused where what I do would fit there.

How difficult is it to get a job in a language you don't have experience in? I have 7 years of experience in PHP and the job market doesn't seem to have a lot of openings. Lots of Python and Java though. I've applied to a number of these roles and haven't even gotten a phone screen.

So I'm interviewing, have had loose salary conversation (talked about band but not specifics), and approaching the official offer stage. It's become clear the role is something I'm very well qualified for, but their pay expectations for the role are much lower than mine. How do I ask if I could be considered for a higher level position in the team in a higher salary band instead?

Just took an exit offer for a lower base and basically net even total comp...but damn the WLB will be nice. Everyone’s out here touting wild raises and such. Figured this board needed some humility and recognition that there’s more to life than working 🤗

Notice etiquete question. If you give your 2 weeks’ notice on a Monday, is your last day a Monday (2 weeks later) or can it be the previous Friday? Does your answer change depending on the time (morning/ afternoon) notice is given?

If I don’t want to potentially burn any bridges, should I just have my notice period end on a Monday and just take that day out of my scheduled vacation before starting my next job?
