I'm having a difficult time finding gigs that like my design work and my advertising background. I'm told I have too much design or not the right aesthetic they're looking for...

Excluding agencies like W+K, BBDO, Droga..., why do recruiters and CDs ask questions like “what’s your goal as a human in life?” or “how would you change the world?” when they KNOW they just need an average creative, to make more average campaigns for average clients?

Before interviewing for an entry level role at a well known agency, the recruiter mentioned the salary in case it is a non-starter.

It’s 10% lower than current TC… is there usually wiggle room here?

I interviewed for a position remotely 3 weeks ago with the 3 partners of an agency at the same time, and it went well. The CFO then took 30 minutes after the initial hour to talk more and she asked that I reach out to her for more questions as well as to let her know when I have relocated as I told them that I am about to move.

After 3 weeks, I sent a follow-up note to the HR contact and no response all last week.

Shall I try contacting the CFO directly since she did ask that I do? Thoughts?

Are there particular times of the year that tend to be better for job hunting? Reason I’m asking, about 6 weeks ago it seemed like there were tons of new job postings. Now it seems to have dried up.

Any advice on how to decline a job offer or withdraw application without burning any bridges? Currently interviewing for a job that has a lot of red flags, I’ve even had a follow-up meeting to get clarification but it didn’t provide much. Everyone has been very nice and I completed a written assignment that took 3 days so I’ve put in the effort but my gut tells me it isn’t right. Hi! I’ve had a few recruiters reach out about roles that look very exciting but I’m really worried about leaving my current role before my 401K vests in early summer. I just feel it may be fiscally irresponsible, although I’m ready to leave. Is there a right way to bring this up with recruiters for either a work-around, or so I can keep the relationship going and be on their radar?
