You won’t sound desperate. Reach out to the recruiter to express your continued interest and ask if there are any next steps. For the future- always followup straight away with all of the people you met. (not a copy and paste email) This won’t affect any negotiations.
Not at all. Most applicants even send out thank you emails the day after which is nice. We also welcome follow up emails so we can stay on top of the recruitment process and help us manage the time well.
I don't think so. A few days after would be fine. It will only show that you are really interested.
No it is not a sign of desperation. And no it will not affect salary negotiations. I would recommend following up if you haven't heard back in a weeks time. That is what I do personally.
Nope. Just sounds like you couldn’t get ahold of whom you were supposed to reach
Yeah I think as long as you follow up in a reasonable amount of time (and aren't spammy or annoying), it should be fine!
Not at all. Plenty of applicants even send out thank you emails just a day after the initial interview which I think is a nice touch. Don't be afraid to send one out.
Hello! Nope, that is not a desperate move. It is only normal to conduct a follow-up. It also entails that you are interested with the job.
