i have an offer for $120K on 1099 and they want me to sign/start next Monday. I just got called for another position i’ve been interviewing for, on final stages of interview. Would it look bad to negotiate start date with $120K offer for following Monday to allow time for finishing out other interviews? (ideally would like options)

Moving to the ‘on site’ interviews for a Strategy role. If I were to make it through, I am a little worried about the HC process - I’m not really an impressive candidate on paper (average CV, state school, etc.) is there anything I can do during the actual interviews to offset that? Particular things I can highlight?

A well regarded (people say within the region, an MBA from this school is comparable to ivy league) private school reached out to me to teach a part time course on analytics.

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I'm looking for recommendations for two areas: 1) in general laying the groundwork in a startup to have the tools and especially processes in place to scale, and 2) tactical focus on building a SaaS project. Quick question, I am 7months old in my new job but strongly not enjoying it due to terrible work life balance…is it wrong to start applying for new jobs? I have done several successful projects in my new role but just wondering if it’s a red flag to potential employers.

Recently interviewed for a sweet industry gig. Started with HR which went really well and the department head liked my resume. Met with someone at the level I would be coming in as and that also went well, he even wrote me a note offering to help prep for the next interview with the department head (his boss, would be my boss). I thought things were going well and HR was supposed to reach back out but now it’s dead quiet for nearly three weeks. I emailed HR to see what next steps.... (con’t)
