Google search - How to do X in Excel. Courses usually have perfect and clean data which is not always the case in real life.

How do you ask about WLB/hours per week in an interview? Do you just ask about culture and hope they talk about it?

Hey guys, just moved to New York for postgrad What’s a good entry level salary for associate producer? Is 45 a reasonable ask?

As a 20+ year lawyer with no big law experience (smaller and mid size firms plus government and in house experience), would a BigLaw firm even consider me? Perhaps an of counsel position? Even a senior associate?

Any new fathers irritated or rubbed the wrong way about all the programs/benefits/focus on working mothers and very little (if any) on working dads?

Maybe off-topic, but I’ve got a question related to taxes and withholding. 2020 was the first year that both me and my wife made full salaries in our high-paying jobs (she’s a pharmacist, I’m in consulting). We don’t do anything out of the ordinary to reduce our taxes, we just put ~ 6% each towards our 401k’s. No house or kids so our other deductions are limited. Just started doing taxes and got a shock that we owe big. Any others in this situation? Do you just withhold a ton extra on W4?

Hey fish fam, need an expectations level set. Ambassador status, staying at a St Regis for honeymoon. Concierge emailed to ask the occasion ahead of time, and we mentioned again at valet, check in, and breakfast - haven’t gotten anything other than “congrats.” No upgrade. No information at check in re: amenities or “rituals” (e.g., 3 days in found out that there is a daily bloody Mary tasting - would’ve been nice to know). Am I overreacting to have hoped for something, anything celebratory?

Is it too late to buy the FAANG stocks? Still feel that Amazon and Google are undervalued.

What are some signs to help evaluate the actual WLB at a company? Seems harder now that everything is remote

Hi all, I would appreciate your thoughts - I’ve been really struggling to adjust to long-term WFH and just have been extremely unhappy with it (feelings of isolation, burnout, hopelessness). I realize I’m not spending time on commute and such, not wearing uncomfortable clothes, but I’m still really miserable. I feel like most of my daily joy used to come from live interaction with people. I know many of y’all are really thriving on WFH and need your help / thoughts on how best to adjust. TIA!!

I just landed my dream job at a big tech company but I think I might have benefited from affirmative action. The recruiter mentioned how I would add diversity to the leadership team of the product...

What's the salary range for SA at KPMG? Glassdoor says average is 87.5K and range is 60-135k. Is it pretty accurate?

Anyone hiring? Looking to make the jump back to big 4.

Any other staff feeling like they might try to leave audit earlier than they planned to? Love my firm, but WFH is brutal and the people I’ve formed connections with have mostly left or WFH 99% of the time which leads to less social interaction with them. I figured I’d stick it out for 3 years or so, but with another busy season looming in a few months I’ve started looking at other roles through my network, and wasn’t sure if I was the only one.

Interviewing as a Finance Manager for a company halfway across the country. Relocation hasn’t been brought up yet. They know I’m out of state. Can I assume relocation will be offered since they didn’t say it wasn’t? Should I ask before going onto the final round of interviews? Company is owned by Fortune 500 company and has over $250 m in revenue. Also what could I expect to be included in the package? I’ll be a individual contributor.

If you exceed your billable hours Monday through Thursday and don’t have much work to do on Friday, is it okay to leave early?
