Partners/shareholders - how many hours are you expected to bill on work vs client dev and firm/associate management? My team and I have provided research/data backed design choices but our CD could care less. We present our ideas in a respectful manner but it seems he interprets it as a threat to his authority. I switched jobs recently to a one that has reduced responsibilities but nearly 50% more pay than my old job. However, my new boss doesn’t really allow me to flex my capabilities and asks for the bare minimum from me. In meetings, she doesn’t pause to allow me to speak/ask questions (if there is a third party vendor, for example). I find this all to be very stifling and feel she wants me to just sit and shut up. Has anyone been in this situation? I want to leave but maybe I’m being rash.
