Hello 🐠- I had gotten laid off when my stem extension was due and then managed to find a job just in time to apply for the stem extension but USCIS just denied my application. I am not sure what to do at this point of time. Can I appeal? Or is this the end of the road for me in this country? Any advice would be appreciated to help extend my stay in the country and hopefully continue working here.
Would a SHRM certification be beneficial for a consultant in organization strategy? Anyone in a similar boat?
hey all, i’m 3 years into my career. some decent work produced, some awards (mostly student). after getting laid off last fall and many many applications and emails sent, I’ve decided to spend time and money on a creative PR stunt to get my dream agencies’ attention. I’ve decided I don’t want to settle any longer, and I’m ready to make the jump to the elite. so people that have made it to their dream agencies: when did it happen for you, what made it happen, and was it everything you hoped for?

Applied for an SM position at pwc and interviewers mentioned that it is for an SM position as well. But the offer came out as M. Recruiter said it is just a title and doesn’t have any implications but more I look, it does look like an downgrade. Is this common? I am currently an SM and it is in tech consulting area.

Need some advice on career path change from a QA Lead to Scrum Master/Program Manager. Currently working for a Big 4 firm leading multiple teams for my project. I’ve been doing QA job for a while now and feel like I need to advance my career to the next level outside of QA world. I could think of Non Technical Scrum Master/Program Manager roles. How do salary increases work at Big 4 if you come in an experienced hire? For example if I switch firms as an SA at 130k salary, what can I expect as an increase the next year since I’m not on the normal comp structure?
Any clue how much credit score might be impacted by closing one card and opening two within the same month? Net available credit would increase by 10k and I’m currently sitting at 785 credit score.
