The friends I've made along the way

Let’s rephrase, the network I have established over the last few years.

I’ve met some incredibly smart people along the way and learned a lot from them.

I went to a bad State school but worked my way out of some terrible jobs (my first job interview was to be a CareerBuilder cold caller… I didn’t get the job…) to be around some really really interesting people.

Structured thinking

Hard yes

Edit: obviously there are lots of people outside of consulting who think in a structured way, but consulting really develops that skill set in a way that working in industry does not.

How much I’ve learned in many different areas, along with the great colleagues and leaders whom I’ve met and from whom I learned so much.

Thanks! Same for me too. Can you share your top learnings that stay with you along the way?

Grateful that company recruiters are more open to talking with me or sharing new opportunities because of my current employer’s brand.

Still annoyed at how elitist society is.

Can’t deny. People look at where you work and instantly think you are good/bad. Positive bias for us I guess

Getting my rear end kicked often enough to push me to become better.

What happened to the quality of new hires?

I am burnt out and want to quit. Extended for 6-mths on current project, that is understaffed, but don’t think I can do it. Any advice on leaving in the middle. Never was one to burn bridges.

Where do y’all like to shop for casual/going out/generally not work clothes? I graduated last may and between that transition and Covid I just hate all my clothes now. Any price range is welcome !
