Relocating states and taking a flight. Shall we (spouse and me) take J&J one shot vaccine now before the travel next weekend, or safely travel to new place and get Pfizer/Moderna double doses? Just want to be safe while traveling. 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Regardless which vaccine you get, immunity will form generally after 2 weeks since vaccination. So next weekend is too short of time.

like

Prefer Pfizer / Moderna more over J&J based on data so far..

like

Get the first shot before you go. Get second shot in new location. You don't have to get the shot at the same place, but your second should be from the same manufacturer.

Agree, even 0.1% error with brands I turn out to be a zombie

It’s a bit up to your personal preference. It should be noted that the mRNA vaccines to provide resistance after the first shot, which is comparable to what you get with J&J from my understanding. All of the vaccines take about two weeks to really kick in.

like

I was in the same situation - I took the first Pfizer shot in one state and found the second appt in the other state. On the CVS website appointment booking form you can enter that you are just looking for your second shot and which manufacturer

Thank you

Thank you all

Get JJ. One and done.

But we’re also wondering 1. Is this too bougie? 2.
