MBB data science expert role (i.e., mostly identical progression as generalists but less up or out pressure) or third (?) tier tech companies (DataRobot, C3, etc.)?

Assume starting TC is same at both or 10% more at the tech companies. That's the figure they're roughly giving me during interviews. Also coming from Deloitte.

I joined a startup as a principal PM and my role was a little nebulous at hiring but now it’s shaped to be something different given we’ve done a merger and reorged. Am I still a PM? I’m overseeing new large enterprise projects, defining overall strategy with business for 3-4 different PM teams. I’m defining early discovery and roadmapping and playing a bit of PMO (we’re hiring one to support) for now but overall I’m leading “PM” efforts and taking us to launch.

I have an accounting background but was able to break into IB. I’ve been studying for the SIE and feel pretty confident about it and I’m averaging 80+ on the practice exams, however I missed the window to test for another week bc of availability (should have scheduled it sooner). If I start studying for the 63 and while I wait to take the SIE do you think that will hurt/confuse me? Sick of looking at SIE materials, surprised there’s not any more testing windows …

Is there any Data Analyst positions that focus more on the behind-the-scene tasks? I am looking to pivot my career more towards data analysis. From my past experience, dealing with people all day long drains me, waiting for other people’s approval to proceed takes forever and I feel demotivated when projects are not moving as planned.

Hello. I’m a recent graduate for MS in Regulatory Affairs and Health Policy. I’ve been looking for jobs for the past couple of months but all I see are positions looking for candidates with multi-year experience and Directors/Ass.Dir.

Can I get some advice? Or anyone know of a company hiring for entry-level? I’m mainly interested in RA for healthcare related companies (pharma, Med devices, hospitals, etc).

Advise pls. I want to break my sublease w/ my mean roommate who constantly finds reasons to power trip & act bitchy just because I'm subleased to her & I'm not a US citizen. I found 2 people who wants to rent my room, each passed credit check but she said her friend wants to move here by Sep. It's been 3wks since she said her friend wants to sign a lease but until now no paper trail to prove it. The last person who checked my room is decided to move by midAug but she didn't like this person.

I’ve seen a million posts about chair recommendations but can anyone recommend a desk? I’m looking for something modern and stylish, yet practical? All I’ve seen so far is either practical or modern and stylish, not a combo of both. Female here, if that matters.

Serious note to all those posting on LinkedIn offering to write a recommendation for anyone they know who has been laid off. How about just writing it without having to be asked first. The last thing someone who just lost their job wants to do is ask you for help, even if they need it. If you want to make their day, just go ahead and do it. Oh, and don’t write about them in the past tense, especially if they haven’t changed their employment status on LinkedIn.

Does anyone feel like they don’t want to go back to normal? On the one hand, absolutely I want to. I miss seeing friends, dressing up, going out, and traveling for work. On the other hand I have saved so much money over the past year, spent a lot more time with family than I would have ever been able to, and actually rested and been able to focus on my wellness (started therapy and treatment for a chronic condition.)
