Looking to return to Big 4 as a consultant now that I have some experience; however, I’m not sure if the reason I’m not getting any interviews is because of covid or what’s on my resume/lack thereof. Has anyone gotten hired at Big 4 during this time and have any help or insight for me? Thanks!

Going to my first in-person local networking event since covid after work today. I’m worried I forgot how to be a human in public over the past 18 months. Used to be relatively good at working a room (for someone who codes) but it was a skill I worked at for years before the pandemic hit. Do y’all have any advice?

Moms, I have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. Everyone on my family is vaccinated. What are safe activities to do with these kiddos in the midst of all this covid variant environment. I thought about the pumpkin patch, hiking, the park, and walks as long as we distance from others. I just get nervous about catching colds or a breakthrough covid infection. I’m not paranoid, just risk averse. The whole family got the TSV bug a month ago, and it was miserable. Just trying to be practical, but not a

What practice areas (if any) would be a natural move for a mid-level commercial real estate/finance associate? I started trying to leave my firm in February and, at the time, was super in-demand. Now, with Covid, commercial real estate is slow & I think I'll be stuck where I am for at least another year if I don't make a practice area shift. Are there any other practice areas where my experience would be valuable?

I was hoping the vaccine would help us get back to more normal, open, and less restricted activities. In some ways it has but since there are so many unvaccinated, is there any other way we’ll be able to move forward from this pandemic? P.S. I’m not trying to start a big argument, I’m genuinely just looking for the light at the end of this tunnel.

Hey guys. I have a soon to be nonprofit church struggling because they already started services (collecting offerings too against my advice) before things were set with an EIN and they gave an event already planned out and are trying to find a way to spend and collect before the things are in order. Decided that I’m leaving audit today. Trying to understand the full range of opportunities in forensics. Will have my CPA and CFE. So far, I understand that there are client-serving firms like FTI and then the B4 will have forensics arms as well. What are some other forensic accounting roles? Pros and cons? Better than audit? Honestly just looking to learn anything.
