No, I don't pray.

Everyday, multiple times a day, for four years straight. 🙏

Yesss! 😭

Different POV. I still pray but not for what I have NOW. Growing up very privileged, sheltered (private schools & all), daddy’s girl etc… I’m yet to have a glass house overlooking the water front though but I’m blessed.

Hello! I was recently contacted by tech recruiters for PMM roles and they both shared job descriptions for 12 months contract coming with a fixed salary. I was wondering if there would still be room for negotiations during interviews with hiring managers or these recruitment agencies are supposed to hire contractors within the budget. What are the usual compensations you can negociate when you are not directly contacted by the client? Is limited to salary & bonuses?

Received a job offer today and unsure how to proceed. The role is lateral but with more opportunity to advance. The offer consists of a 17% base salary increase, a 25% annual bonus structure, and a signing bonus of 25% of my base. I feel that the offer is fair but the downside is fewer vacation days. I intend to negotiate the vacation time but as far as the compensation I am unsure if I should negotiate.. the offer is fair and I don't want to be greedy but I don't want to miss an opportunity

I’m noticing something & I wonder if anyone else experiencing same. Companies aren’t willing to negotiate. This is my experience, sequentially over a 2 year period. Company 1, no budge on base, yes to sign on bonus. Company 2, no budge on base, yes to sign on. Company 3, no budge on base, yes to sign on. Company 4, no budge on base or bonus. What happened to “1st offer isn’t the best”?

I recently (within 6 months) transitioned to a new role at my job which was supposed to be a promotion. But they've just been having me audit and haven't finalized my new job duties. They said they have plans but that I'll be auditing for several more months. I'm about to have my performance review and just received a job offer at another company. Is there a good way to leverage this respectfully? I ultimately want an action plan for growth, a concrete job description, and a pay increase.

1st-year comp: ~ 276k
2nd, 3rd, 4th years: ~251k

This is a remote role. I want to know if I am being lo-balled as I expected the 2nd year onwards comp to be at 260k+.

You have the following offers. Which do you choose?

1) $185,000 no 401k
2) $165,000 + annual 30% bonus based on company and individual performance (15% paid in stock options & 85% paid in cash) + 401k no match + $10,000 in stock options & $1500 at signing
3) $153,000 + $30,000 signing bonus + $16,000 annual performance bonus + 401k w/ 7.5% match
4) $100/hr 1099

For arguments sake healthcare benefits or lack thereof is immaterial.

For internal promotion with title increase... do you start with your pitch first or the $. My pitch will include market rate, value I'm bringing and will continue to bring with examples. Wondering if I should also include how we have been having a hard time filling positions so the market is in employee favor for my role as well as inflation? Should I go into granular detail on the math done to get to my #such as market average for my role the % increase I had for my last promotion etc
