I started working for my company about 6 weeks ago and I was originally hired to work from a specific location closer to my home. I was told the 1st day of my employment that the location “is not ready yet” and that I would be working out of a temp location further from my home. It has been really inconvenient for me to say the very least and the remote option is unavailable to me until after the probation period which is 6 months. How should I approach having this conversation with my director?

Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY

Moved from Miami; weather ranges from brutally hot to very pleasant, cost of living is high, natural disasters (hurricanes) are something you always have to take seriously even though rare, and the culture is... monoculture (overpoweringly latin). If you like it, more power to you and I am glad you do! Just not for me, and I grew up there.
That said, the one thing I really do miss is the ocean and ocean fishing.
A1, Brooklyn is literally in NYC limits compared to some of the areas mentioned above that are not within the city limits…that’s the difference when trying to use the analogy.
The assumption that snow and below freezing temperature would be universally hated is flawed! You can enjoy the cold snowy winter and the sunny warm summers!
Ski days are the best days… also somehow cheaper than owning a boat
But u need to put up with desantis and his fan base
I’d provide a retort but that name is so irrelevant I had to Google it
I prefer to move somewhere that my apartment or condo won't collapse on top of me while I'm in it, but thanks
very very jealous and highly considering. For those that own property there, what are your thoughts on the heat and rising sea levels?
Asking because i’m wondering if there’s risk to the property value in the far future
Rising sea levels? Those don’t seem to be bothering this guy 😂

Hi from Minneapolis. When I got up this morning it was 1 degree.
That sounds like great broom ball weather! Head over to Bryn Mawr and get a game in!
I'd melt in the summer though
Isn’t it super hot and unbearable in nyc as well ? I hate the summers here
I went with the opposite and moved to the mountains last year. Do what makes you happy! Too many people make excuses for not building the life that they want. I grew up in FL and winters are the best season IMO! Sunny, 70s and lower humidity. Enjoy it!
I agree- Minnesotan here and I love the fresh, sparkling white day.
Wait til summer and it feels like over 100 outside
I live in Manhattan and I can get to Rockaway Beach in under an hour

Pls no. We are full
No thanks, too humid in the summer. I’ll stay put in SoCal.

Shhhh let them all move out
Move to Miami so I can watch the beautiful weather from inside while I work 24/7 during busy season… I think I’ll pass 🤔 less FOMO when the weather sucks for a majority of the year
Omg I had no idea, time to find one and get my life back I guess
For best weather and environment just move to Hong Kong.
Hot summers, mild winters, 70% of surface area is natural parks, islands, reservoirs and waterfalls, with hiking quality of many trails comparable to the Yosemite.
Much more pleasant and varied than Singapore, while Southeast Asia is still only a weekend flight away.
(This review does not take into account the recent COVID-19 restrictions or the political system…the latter won’t impact you as an expat, but the former is a pain)
😂
You stop your bragging lol. Looks amazing! I’m enjoying views of my iced-over lake (2 feet of ice to be accurate).

I own all the MAGA hats I need thanks to the Great State of Florida not robbing me of my money like California with unnecessary taxes, fees, and democratic policies.
Begging my wife to move from the northeast to Miami. That looks amazing.

Did you mean begging or 'bagging' your wife to move there?
Don’t move here, you are making everything more expensive for us.
