Now you understand how we introverts often feel about working in crowded team rooms. After interacting with clients and colleagues all day I want to die when someone suggests happy hour/dinner. Too much human interaction.

I’m an extrovert but the majority of my good friends are introverts and I completely empathize with you all. Believe it or not, I also often have no interest in happy hour after a long exhausting day of client meetings.

Clearly the most practical solutions and doesn't come with any sort of security concerns whatsoever, but just set up a profile on Omegle or other can site and chat with strangers all day while you work. It's a win-win!

hmmm what’s this site again? 😈

I have been WFH all five days this week and really since last Tuesday except for office day Friday. As an extrovert, I was pretty lonely on Monday and missed the ability to riff off of people. With how serious this thing has gotten, though, I’ve decided to just “man up/woman up.” I also am texting and calling more often than I would, even for things I could discuss with the manager or the analyst over email. Better safe than sorry. Stay safe out there, regardless of whether you are an extrovert, introvert, or ambivert.

If a firm sent you free tech for WFH (monitors, docking station, keyboard, and mouse), are you obligated to return it once you leave? Obviously will return the laptop, but was wondering if it’s normal/expected to keep everything else. Insights appreciated! I feel I lost my social or communication skills because of WFH! Does anyone feel the same way? Sometimes when ppl wanted to have small talks with me, all I wanted to do is to finish that conversation ASAP. It seems I lost the interest to whatever others are saying. Really need some advice here😭

I'm a tech consultant with 1 YOE. Im wondering if I should trade my current job: 80k TC, fully remote, ~45 hrs/week, fantastic company and team, and really fun projects, for a new opportunity: 125k TC, 100% in person, ~60 hrs/week, unknown team and company dynamics? Im leaning toward staying, because I really do love where I am, but thats life changing money! Any advice is appreciated!

I’m have an interview this afternoon with a local accounting firm in our small town. I’m incredibly nervous because even though I’ll be graduating soon with my Bachelors in Accounting, I have zero work experience in this field and feel out of my league. Currently I attend school full time online and work from home managing our family business. Any tips or advice? I don’t want to oversell myself but I don’t want to undersell me either.

Please let me know of any fully remote positions, or hybrid positions based out of Chicago or Milwaukee. I live in Dubuque IA, so for in office work it would have to be in Dubuque. TIA!

I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
