Hi everyone! New to the bowl. I have major ADHD, and have been on and off medicine. Although the medicine (adderal) helps me, I get VERY moody, mean, and easily irritated. I get so mean and moody that my boyfriend and I almost break up every time. Any suggestions on how to deal with this side effect while on adderal?

GMAT. Those with ADHD. I feel I can study better on meds, but I perform better when I’m off then during the exam. I’m stuck in a catch-22 of if I should: 1) use stims throughout 2) wean off stims a few days before exam. Anyone else with similar experiences?

Has anyone installed sound-proofing windows? Can they really block 95% of noises? I just saw a condo that checks all the boxes except it’s on a busy street and there is a constant noise from buses, trains and cars. Windows seemed old and may not have been replaced for over 15-20 years (but it’s double pane). I can also install sound absorbing curtains on top of that.

Looking to get advice on my first real estate property for personal use. Located in Austin, Texas. Currently renting an apartment and I’m looking to purchase my first property. making about 100k a year married with no kids. Spouse currently doesn’t work. Can get about 50K liquid cash and another 50K if needed from brokerage account. I’m deciding between a normal single family home or duplex in 400-500K range. Issue is in Austin I don’t see any decent shape duplex in that range.

Curious about thoughts on on discount points (I think I’ve already read every article on Google). I am refinancing my personal residence (future rental) as well as a rental property. The mortgage brokers discourage me from spending a ton on points (rolled in, not up front). In some cases, it’s a 16 year break even.
