🤡 Promoted to PDM lead and raise was paramount to a “fudge you!” So, started answering recruiters. Left a week ago. Now much closer to my market value.
Can’t wait to be leaving as well... already have 2 offers and am waiting for a 3rd. Then it’s just a matter of comparing and picking the best one.
🤡 Laid off: insanely difficult job search (pandemic and H1B visa), applied and networked like crazy, interviewed with 20+ companies in 60 days, got 2 offers, now a Product Manager with 40% base raise. ✌️
Didn’t talk about it unless asked why I left Deloitte. And when asked, I was honest that I got laid off

🤡 Leaving in 2 months because I am tired of being seen as a resource and not as an intelligent person. First thing they know you are good at becomes the only thing they ever want you to do. Also it was ridiculous how cvid situation was managed. Do lay offs, scare the rest with lay offs, dont give bonuses and raises and have audacity to say “but hey at least you were not laid off”.
Yeah now looking back. It wasn’t handled well at all. Now, apparently the bench is super low because they fired too many people.
🤡 started looking last week, applied last Friday and have 2 interviews already scheduled. The lack of any raise this year killed any motivation I had, and once I started looking I realized there are so many better paying options out there.

Yep, been applying like crazy after the insulting lack of raises this year. Gotta make your own raise/promotion by moving. Anyone who thinks otherwise has drank too much D Kool-Aid

Don’t blame you on that one, run away as fast as you can. I am waiting to hear back about a third job offer and picking the one that gives me the best raise lol
