I have 2 offers that I’m struggling with: 1- start up company looking to IPO in the next year. I’d be controller doing all technical accounting. It’s in a tech space so it could work, or it could flop. Also would have longer hours. Salary+ bonus is 155k with 25k of stock options 2- more mature company, I’d only be doing technical accounting and sec reporting. Less work, but more independent work. Salary is 140k no bonus but 150k of stock options. Options 2 is safer but I’m conflicted

Just found out my firm bases bonuses on billed out hours rather than actual billed hours. Any work a partner cuts before the bill is sent to the client or any non billable work does not count for the bonus. I am not happy. Is this enough to move firms over? This isn’t standard practice as far as I know?
Hey Guys, I got an offer from IBM and wanted to understand how the PF deduction works. So the compensation breakup is like Fixed pay(basic+FBP) + Gratuity(4.8% of basic) + PF(12% of basic) Is the PF mentioned in the offer breakup, employers PF or employee PF? If its the employers PF, will the same amount(12% of basic) will again be deducted from my fixed as employee PF contribution?

I have an offer from PWC as an Associate and for EY as a Senior Consultant (financial services). I have a feeling PWC is better culture wise and with WLB but not exactly sure what things are like at EY. Can anyone give some insights on what the culture and WLB is like within these companies? Does anyone know the average base and bonus comp range for HR Director level (below VP) at Morgan Stanley ? The recruiter said that I am eligible for a bonus but it’s not in the offer letter and would not provide any details on an expected bonus range. Is this normal? If you book a period end accrual (D exp, C Accrued), when you reverse the entry the next day. Wouldnt you be booking the expense in the period you got the invoice, not the period the expense occurred?

Plan on moving to Dallas Texas next year. Currently with Deloitte MTS team and will be a senior at that time. Im wondering how the culture of the office is there? Also, how is the culture of the other firms. Im not opposed to moving firms. Just finished working three 80 hour weeks, so that would be a big plus to find a team where that is not expected on a regular basis!
