To me resilience means different things on different days. Sometimes it means patience when the kids ask the same question over and over, some days it means not jumping out of my skin when a kid tells me he needs another copy of something. Sometimes it means not swearing out loud or keeping my mouth shut when my principal says something ridiculous, which is often. Real resilience for a teacher means having a stressful day, but coming back the next day and all those days in between.
Agreed! As a teacher honestly it’s sometimes accepting the things I can’t control.
Creating a culture of error. Constantly pushing on the idea that mistakes are normal! Minor setbacks are opportunities to find another way.
