successful family friend is working for fun after retiring at age 24 as a multimillionaire - early square SWE

I was initially the embarrassment of the family.
Graduated undergrad at 28, worked for six months in finance, somehow interviewed my way into DC as a Consultant level, got promoted two years later to SC and here I am at 31y/o working at a FAANG.
My siblings and cousins were all top of their class, graduated early with their masters (nonMBA) but the next most successful is a NICU nurse.
Moral of the story is it’s never too late, despite how much your family may put you down.
Enthusiast
Same. I graduated high school with a 3.5, college with a 2.6, worked odd jobs here and there and now heading to FAANG.
I work at deloitte. The more successful family friend’s son is a software engineer at FAANG. The grass is always greener IMO

I work for the more successful kid now lol
