The book is mostly exhibits, the classes make the whole experience digestible

Everyone I know who has taken it has said it's pretty easy especially if you have been on a few deals and know the ropes. Still have to study obviously but no more than 20-40 hrs.

Also interested in taking CIRA. But how does it compare to CTP? Heard that CTP is more geared towards corporate turnaround, whereas CIRA is more about bankruptcy and liquidation. Is my understanding correct?

CTP is also a good qualifier, but it’s not well established enough yet. Better to have a CTP than nothing

Has anyone interviewed for an enforcement position at the SEC? What types of questions did they ask? Interview is Friday any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone submitted their CPA application with a score that was extended due to COVID? The department is processing but it says deficient on 18th month rolling period. But it shouldn’t be deficient because it was extended. Is this just how they process? Or should I call them when they open? Thanks for your help! I’m a nervous wreck.

When is an appropriate time to cut off your availability for client calls? On travel days I make myself available from 8am-10pm and fridays 8-5. Weekends as needed. Is this too strict?

Have an interview for Google Technical Account Manager. Anyone interviewed for this role? What’s it like?

Does anyone know someone who was placed on a pip who then found a way to get on medical leave so could apply to jobs while still employed? (Idea being that you greatly extend your opportunity to look for jobs while still being able to say you’re at current firm. Example: Person gets 1 month pip, gets medical leave, then is able to look for new jobs for many months rather than 1 month. If you don’t know anyone, any opinions on how this could work?

How does margin interest impact taxes? Can the margin interest expense be used to offset capital gains or dividends? This year was the first time I used margin so curious about the tax impact

I’m interviewing with an agency that has a terrible reputation here and on Glassdoor. I’d be at a small satellite office, not HQ. How would you bring up the negative reviews, if at all?

Is unlimited PTO a curse or a blessing!

I’m just starting up as a freelancer after years of being a full time agency employee. Any big watch outs before finalizing my contract? What about frequency of invoicing and defining billable time? Any guidance on freelancing dos and don’ts is much appreciated.

As an SC going for Manager who wanted to jump ship, would you consider another Big4? If so, which one has comparable benefits and better work-life balance (I know, I know that’s probably unrealistic)?

What’s the difference in the types of exit opps between MBB and B4 consultants? Is the gap really as big as people make it or does it mainly come down to networking, relevant skills, and luck?

We are hiring a Media Buyer (TV/Radio experience required) and a Copywriter! Remote/WFH with no plans in the near future to return to office. Check LinkedIn for JD’s. Media Buyer role should be posted today!

CTS has offered me 10.05L fixed + 45k variable. What will be the monthly take-home salary after all deductions?

Wondering how freelance producers are doing in this climate. I was let go when a project ended. Have heard most agencies are trying to use staffers since clients are cutting way back

Would you move from D to other Big 4 with only 20k raise (115 -> 135k)? Assuming you need to restart GC process from scratch a year after joining

My lifetime status years for Marriott, haven’t been updated as of Jan 1st. Is this the case with most 🐟’s? Wondering if I should talk to a customer service representative!

How much of this job is making up useless work so it looks like we’re being productive for the client?

If you're billing the same rate, you should get the same salary bands regardless of geography.

I made a reservation for my family at JW Marriott in India and they found someone dirty clothes and underwear near lamp in the room, the Marriott people came and cleaned the room and offered free dinner I feel really terrified where on their website they say we clean do well and this happened with COVID going on.
