Results of the election have me concerned about my job as a healthcare consultant but don't know if that's overreacting. Thoughts?

Probabluy be good for you. Rs will roll back Obama care in full or part. Payors and provider just paid us a ton to help them navigate the transition to Obamaxare, now they will need us to help them navigate the roll back. There will also be some new tinkering to the regulatory framework so the Rs can say they replaced it with something. Again more work for us to capitalize on these new changes.

If you work for Pharma, any threat of price controls or for Medicare/medicaid negotiating prices just went out the window. Lots more commerical work and lifecycle management to do.

They will repeal ACA day one and the industry will freak because there's no back-up. I see pressure on Pharma continuing since they are a huge part of the insurance increases.

@SM1 the house has passed a repeal bill >40 times. I think they have something drafted and ready. Reasonable chance the do it just for the symbolism

And to clarify by day one I mean of Trumps presidency not of congress

Thanks everyone. Good points and solid insight. As a public health professional, it's hard to not cringe when I hear the words "repeal and replace". But alas here we are.

Trump can't repeal laws without congress

Hi Everyone

I see recently due to market demand there are raining jobs even for less than 10 yoe getting above 25 lpa is it safe for the job security in terms of long term serving the company ,am afraid of getting laid off in future whats your thought or advuce on this?

When you say your salary jumped __x, how is that exactly calculated?

Mine was $16k (minimum wage before joining corporate) > $40k (contractor total before getting laid off) > $150k (current FT)?

Is that a 260% jump or 2.6x from $16k to $40k?
And a 375% jump or 3.75x from $40k to $150k?

Or do I calculate it by hourly rate?
