Did anyone exit from consulting to sales positions at Google or Microsoft? I am looking to pivot into sales and having a bit of a hard time getting interviews. Any tips or if anyone is willing to private message it would be appreciated. I have 3 YOE and 2 are in consulting if that’s helpful. Thanks!

I put “CPA” behind my name. When you get business cards from CPAs who do tax prep services, you always see the CPA after their name. Why? Because those three letters command legitimacy. It’s an official license. There’s no ethics violation in putting CPA behind your name on a resumé or personal business card. Now for firms that have policy against it, that’s a matter of firm policy to abide by. But nothing wrong with putting it on your resumé. It tells readers immediately that HEY I’m a CPA (I just heard Peter Olinto in my head; it has been over 3 years...)
Who’s better than you? Nobody!

It would likely be an ethics violation to put CPA after your name
If you put the states where the license is held in on the LinkedIn profile as well, I don’t see how this can reasonably be construed as holding yourself out as a CPA in a jurisdiction you aren’t licensed in.
Both
“, CPA” alongside your name and your licensing jurisdiction and license # at the bottom
Can understand not putting a license# on LinkedIN or in a public forum like that, but it's perfectly fine to put it on a resume you're only sharing with potential employers. They're going to look you up anyways. Anybody can lookup your license# on cpaverify anyways. It's like SEC financials. Public record that anyone can access.
I wonder how many people who are saying not to put it after your name are CPA’s? I always thought that was a standard on resumes..
Cpa is a stepping stone to success in the accounting world. It wouldn’t hurt to have it and it will hurt if you don’t have it especially the higher up you go. Its an accomplishment that not everyone has in the profession. I also think a lot of the people saying they wouldn’t put it with their name don’t have their cpa and would feel differently if they did have it.
If a job requires or would like a cpa I’d Definitely recommend putting those letters in your name.

Just list it below. Have some self respect. 😇
If you’re judging someone for putting the CPA designation next to their name vs below their name, then YOURE the one who’s full of yourself.
Also can you show me some guidance on how this is a “ethical violation”? I can’t find it online.
First, full middle, last, family crest, CPA spelled out, SAT math, fasting blood sugar.
After your name, I don’t list it in certifications. List any masters degrees below
Bots read resumes, I would pit right next to the name.
