Turning the AC down especially during these cold winter months. The temprature inside our store has become unbearable lately, it's too cold and since we wear uniforms, we can't wear jackets.

Stop being such a jerk to us. Every little thing that happens becomes a huge deal, and it's tiring.

Periodic Training, reviews on performance at list yearly, better communication and keeping workers that are team players… last is the most important for me.

Managers can make working in retail much easier by showing genuine appreciation and acknowledging their employees' efforts. This could include a simple smile, kind words of encouragement or a public recognition of a job well done.

Definitely giving us clear instructions, as well as appropriate training and resources to do their jobs effectively.

Giving us the flexibility to manage their own schedule and providing opportunities for professional development can make their work experience more enjoyable and rewarding.

To understand the importance of retention. The people who work hard for the company deserve time off, fair pay, and to be spoken to as if we're people.

Ideal candidate would have at least 7-8 years experience (with at least some of that time in public accounting), CPA, heavy C corp compliance experience, and manager title. Masters or JD a bonus but not necessary. So if you have any interest please shoot me a message!

I invited my SO to a work event where people are bringing a plus one. She said yes at first, then later followed up with an “if she can make it.” This happens almost every time I invite her to things, citing work. Last night I got really sad after that and couldn’t understand why she would never put me above work. She’s a dentist and has control over her schedule - can schedule treatment for another day or stop seeing patients at a certain time. Am I making a big deal out of a work event?

I'm looking to find a job like the Forward Deployed Engineer role Palantir Technologies in the UK.

I have become hooked on finding a job that involves solving the kinds of problems they presented during their interviews. Although I got to the final round my performance anxiety got the better of me (I think I wanted the job a bit too much...). I will reapply after working in a similar company.

Is it "deep tech" / "data science" or "smart enterprise" that they're doing? Any advice welcome.
