Retired, not my choice from Healthcare for 35years. It seems everyone on Fish Bowl is young and anxious to get out there and be recognized. Is there a group in Fish Bowl for retirees! For Baby Boomers who still have what it takes. My skills are impeccable. My experience is abundant. I am ver tied trainer for Epic, electronic medical record. I still want to work and to train new employees?

Hi Rita. I totally understand what you are saying. I am a boomer, and work in the hospital healthcare field also. Not retired yet, but everyone is young and anxious!! I try to use that to my advantage in looking for information about new companies, or even on the job, etc. Younger people have so much to offer when getting advice, because we will be working for them and things are different now in the workplace. Don’t get insight from other baby boomers or older people unless they are fluid with the changing times. The jobs are out there. Forget about your age and use your experience to your advantage. Remember to focus on our similarities, not our differences. What city are you located in? I wish you tons of luck!!

What’s the probability of getting a medical RFE in GC process for eb1c? I got a letter saying medical reminder but doesn’t look like an RFE, just a generic letter. Also, my Pwc lawyer suggested we just wait for an RFE but for me time is priority and I don’t to have any hold ups. Need advice please.

I am a skilled nursing facility biller and collector for Medicare & Insurance, my job can absolutely be remote but the company I work for refuses to allow employees to work remotely. I’ve been with this company for 10 years and am looking elsewhere to find the same position but remote so I can move out of state. Noticing that other companies don’t pay billers well, making me feel stuck. This job is a lot harder than people realize and feeling like I already don’t get paid enough. Any advice?

I think I bombed a case interview with Chartis for an associate consultant position. The case was in excel and required me to manipulate the data via share screen with the interviewer. I couldn’t get some functions to work and was struggling to go through the 16 page PDF of data. I had several answers correct but needed to walk through the remaining questions with some guidance. My other 3 case interviews went well and I had great conversation with the partner for behavioral interview. Thoughts?

I was just offered an RN II position at Stanford Hospital’s B3 unit for $84/hour. Are there any RNs out there who can tell me what it’s like working on the unit and if it’s worth leaving my job for? I love my current job, my schedule and the people. I have no problems with it except that it’s 1.5 hours away from my family and it pays $25/hour less than Stanford.

Also, do you think it’s too late to ask if I can visit the unit before I make my decision? Thanks in advance.

The company is a vessel for new ideas in healthcare helping their community specifically with seed funding, & launching their own programs. I have no idea what to do
