Was this (or new) position discussed before your maternity leave? Did it exist before? By signing the paperwork, did you get a job description or only a title/salary change? Not sure if your new function is an issue (hefty job) or no salary increase.
If you wanted this position and knew what it entails - you should have assess what you will need to do, where you skillset is and negotiate the salary accordingly. If it was a complete surprise, still you should have align on expectations on new role. However, I can understand that just returning from maternity leave was overwhelming and the rush from the management got in your way. Go back to whom you are reporting now/a higher up and reopen the conversation. New function even in junior level should still come with an increase and considering everyone got it a salary adjustment - that is not fair.
