Potential in-house-brand-side CD gig for a growing brand in a niche/cool category. They haven't done any real branding of note aside from more "how to"-ish/functional/hardworking YouTube videos, but they have big branding aspirations (like every brand says). Expecting the following question in final interview: what would you do in your first 30/60 days?
So, what would YOU do in your first 30/60 days?

Yes, email. “Hey just checking if the team made a decision.” Or “Just checking in before the weekend to see if you have a hiring update.”
I agree! Send a follow up email (if you haven't already). Hopefully you hear back soon with good news!
Yes! Absolutely you should reach out to them for an update. But sometimes processes get held up due to humans being away on vacation etc.. Good luck!!!!🤞🏾
Thanks all for great advice! I sent an email and the recruiter actually apologized for not being able to update me this week. Then said the team will reach out early this week! Hopefully I get a positive response 🙏🏻

General rule - if they really like you and want to hire you, they’ll respond within 48 hours. If two business days go by with nothing but radio silence, move on because they don’t want you.
If they give you any cockamamie excuses like “our hiring manager is going on vacation,” that’s a death sentence for your candidacy, and the company is too cowardly to reject you outright.
