I have an interview on Thursday with a company looking for a marketer. The role is largely undefined, they’re looking for someone to step in and basically create it. That’s what I’ve done at my last 3 jobs so I feel I’d be a good fit. 7 YoE, and I want to work remote/hybrid. Is asking $85K too much?

Every time I speak to my director (at least twice a week), he works in how he is getting older into the conversation(humorously). For instance, he forgot something non-work related, said “sign of old age”. He recently told a story, said, this is how old people talk. He likes to come across as a grandfatherly figure, but I’m not sure what to say in these encounters. It is always an innocent, non work related context. Have you guys experienced this ? I gained over 25 pounds over lockdown, went for drinks with colleagues for the first time since March 2020, and the very next day I had other colleagues messaging me on teams and dropping remarks about how they are walking a lot these days to drop COVID weight. I applied for an internal senior position, different departments. I went thru 2 interview and it went great. My experience aligned perfectly with what they were looking for. They seemed like they were ready to make an offer. However, they never made an offer , never heard nothing back. I found out that after a second interview managers get notified. Im starting to believe that my manager asked then not to hire me.
Is this possible?? If so, what should I do?
