Rising 2nd year at corporate boutique. Major market. 170k base, variable monthly est. 20k, EOY subjective bonus. Big law = 200+25 I think. Is the range I am in competitive? Billed 2500+ last year.

Thanks for the reply!

My stats are

T20 (UT/UCLA/Vandy)
Strong GPA (top 1/3)
Firm is small corporate boutique but well known. We had someone else lateral recently to biglaw prompting closer, but not total, salary matching

like

Most Cravath-paying top Am Law firms will also be interested in top 20-30 law schools (sometimes top 50 if the GPA is top 15% or better), strong GPA, and whether the candidate is lateralling from what the prospective firm would consider a peer firm. How do you fare on those points?

Agree that your position is fine to move into big law . You may be more competitive with two full years under your belt, but now also isn’t a bad time to look in case firms have junior departures after bonuses are paid out and/or didn’t fill enough with first year classes. Feel free to DM me if you would like some help with your search.

Hello fishes. I'm a MBA graduate currently working as a digital marketing professional in a mid size consulting firm with 3 years of experience.
I am terribly underpaid in my current org at 5.5 LPA after a recent promotion and annual appraisal. Another mid size consulting firm offered me 7.5 LPA but I am asking them around 9 LPA.
Am I asking too much or shall I take the offer of 7.5 LPA
