I really enjoy my job and the autonomy I have but am only making $55K/yr—however, I do not want to leave this job anytime soon due to being in the PSLF program. Negotiating pay with state government really isn’t a thing.

The insurance company I work for outsourced a huge majority of my work to a third party, ontellus 🤮. I am not longer able to bill for NPNP, SDT and CNOS. I received 5 separate NPNPs from ontellus that either had the incorrect case style, signature block or date. I also sent out an email today after the 5th incorrect NPNP that started with “I am honestly starting to feel like I am on the show Punk’d and waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop into my office” continued in comments..

I make $53k/year and I cannot find a single place I can afford on my salary. How am I supposed to have work/life balance when I can’t afford to do anything except rent and pay bills?

I am so behind with my preventive medicine at 45. I have a strong HX of certain cancers within my family and have had abnormal findings on tests in the past. My PCP is in the Boston hospital I work at and still won’t let me schedule them and it’s making me uneasy. I’m Have been an RN for three years. I have worked in the prison system for over two years. I recently applied and was offered a job in the ICU/CCU. Which I would love to try this new adventure. I like to look at pros and cons. Pros of the Prison my boss recognizes my hard work, I have great pay, and a great schedule. Cons-there is at times unequal distribution of duties, some bad attitudes with some of the staff. PPE is not always easy access, who knows who. What’s your thoughts?

Do I need ICU experience to work in the PACU?? I’ve been a nurse for 3 years in stepdown units, and I want to make the switch to the PACU. I know the worst they can say is no, but I’m wondering realistically what my chances are without working ICU. I’m just really getting burned out working inpatient.
