Should I contribute towards 401k if I am on H1B and have no desire of staying here long term?
I am hoping for some advice. I was a young mom (17 when pregnant) and ended up having three kids by 23. I’ve since pulled myself up by my boot straps and am doing well in my career and have seen good trajectory. The thing is, it’s always nagged at me that I never went to college. I don’t want to go to college in the traditional sense but my new employer offers some tuition reimbursement (if related to the job). I’m in tech, specifically software. What should I look into?
How does FDD healthcare compare to other industries? I have an offer to join a healthcare group at B4 and not sure if it is too limiting?
I recently changed jobs and my new 401K provider - Principal has very limited MF investment options. My prior employer’s 401K was managed by Fidelity and provided me access to a range of MF options. I believe that the fund options are negotiated by the employer and provider? Two questions. First - I have not rolled over my previous 401K to the new one. Would there be any problems. Second - is there a way I could move my current 401K to another (precious) provider?
I’m in my early 70s. Hanging on to a pretty easy creative job. Any thoughts on where and what to do next?
Can anyone provide insight to working at Holland and Hart? Also, when do parental leave benefits kick in? Is there a waiting period? Do they negotiate lateral bonuses for losing out on present firm end of year bonus? TIA.
I’m 30, with no kids, currently paying $540/mo for a whole life insurance policy through my advisor (family friend, mind you) at NWM. No debt, investing 2k a month into other more traditional investments (e.g., 401k, ira). I care less about the death benefit but I’ve been repeatedly reminded about the guaranteed RoR associated with the cash value - does this investment vehicle make sense to continuing with? TIA!
Just realized the only reason I'm staying at my job is for the health insurance, which isn't even that good.
Maxed out my 401k yesterday! Woohoo 🥳
It's health insurance season in the United States of "Every Person for Themselves." Is there a silver lining to a primarily coinsurance based plan, rather than mostly copays? This is a first for me.
Tax experts- what qualifies as a hardship withdrawal from your 401k? I got a over a 100k saved in my 401k but maxed out on credit due to student loans and a family situation.

So, how is the new Marriott Bonvoy news impacting your loyalty to the program? I am currently Titanium Elite, so I feel as though it would still be worthwhile to maintain such status going forward given the benefits.

Hello there! I have been interviewing with Amazon for L6 Sr. UX Designer role. I want to understand what’s the salary range I should be negotiating for that role. Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

What’s a great small to medium (50-200) startup with strong focus on company culture, diversity and equity?
I'm kind of sick of every small thing becoming a feedback discussion. I don't think my manager is remotely motivating or helpful, especially when the mistakes are theirs as well.
Need Advice: I recently cleared the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam which inspired me to go for one other cert in the cloud world. However, I am confused if I should go for the next AWS cert (Solutions Architect) vs Google’s Cloud Digital Leader cert? Can anyone recommend anything here? Goal is to move out of consulting asap and get into FANG. TIA!
Spoke to another B4 about an open role. Got the conversation through networking and mutual connections. After a few chats the Partner said HR will reach out to me. Anyone know if this means formal interviews are next or if they may extend an offer?

Does anyone notice thinned-out diversity at the tops of their companies? Was the lower level diversity all for show?
What are the salary levels in Big 4 consulting? From MBA stats, intro pay seems to be the same as MBB. But on FB, I’m seeing people say Manager level pay is lower than 1st year Consultant salary at MBB. Which is it?
