Rolex Explorer vs Datejust vs Panerai Luminor?

Going for a watch that can be worn with a suite or t shirt. Ideally black dial, leather/steel or all stainless

Have 1 & 3 and actually prefer the Panerai. Think it’s because I got a 42mm model. Wrist is 7”

Just to make things interesting my vote goes to DJ. It’s more versatile and the other two are more on the casual side, less suitable for suits.

like

I’d go Exp1, but that’s because it’s next on my list. I think it’s a timeless design that truly works in all situations. The DJ is a little too polished to truly be casual, and Panerai does not have the panache nor value retention that a Rolex does.

like

RT ExpI, I think it’s a really good balance that you can wear anywhere doing anything

Voting for Panerai also

I love my Panerai and often wonder why Panerai doesn’t receive more love on this site. Why? My next watch will be a new Date Just 41.

For value retention and a good first entry level watch. Which makes the most sense?
1: IWC Portugieser Chrono
2: Santos-Dumont Extra Large
3: Omega Speedmaster
4: Anything else worth considering (that doesn't require an extremely long wait time)???
PS I prefer a leather straps (black or brown)

Thanks!!
