Screaming in the office? Where the hell are you going that ppl allow work to get them so flustered?

Yea right. I kill it year in year out. I'm almost at the point of trying to get fired and can't pull it off. My comment isn't a shot at the people of Deloitte, but it seems like a theme I read on here. I can't possibly imagine a scenario where that would be an acceptable perception of a project. F yalls leadership that does.

OP, only real tip I have is to not let the project run your life. Change the background on your computer to something that helps ground you and make you happy...when shit starts getting rough, flip to your desktop background to remind yourself it's just work and not the only thing that matters in life.

So stuck. What do I do? I joined this firm a year ago (4 yrs exp total) to grow/get more court/client exposure. Then 2 more-experienced associates were hired, pandemic, & all cases are divided between the other 2. I have no defined tasks except deficiency letters or the odd pro bono case. Boss claims it's mentoring. I still need to meet bill req.

Last wk Boss said I'll do more & my work was good, but today said I can't 2nd chair bc I don't have experience. I'm doing less now than my prior firm.

Hello, I have 8 years project management experience with agencies and nonprofits, but am looking to go corporate.

Few questions if you wouldn’t mind to oblige:
- What kind of salary should I expect as corporate PM?
- How many rounds of interviews should I expect?
- Any notable differences (for those who have done both) on processes between corporate and agency level?
- Any notable differences in project management decision making structure / matrix between corporate and agency level?
Thanks

Hi fishes!

I am seeing too many post about awards like rising star, Kudos, etc. People keep telling there managers recommended them for these awards.
My manager doesn't interact much with us. I consider myself as some one who has worked hard for project and other intiatives. Should I ask my manager to consider me and if yes how should I initiate it.
Part of MC team.

Thank you.

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director l, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.
