Does Globant terminates the employment of certain trainees after their probation(3 Months) based on their performance in the training period? Some of the fresher trainees were laid off this morning without giving a notice or reason.

We were told that the probation period is a training period & not an elimination one. It was shocking as a few of those trainees were actually good.

Random thought... My gay male context plus the pandemic has amplified the "this isn't worth it" view of my unbalanced work life balance. I am never going to have kids and don't need to keep grinding for the next promotion etc. like my head of household peers with children. Do you feel the non-traditional household / income demands that LGBTQIA+ we live with are making you more easily say "enough is enough" with work as the valuation of our time has increased during the pandemic? 🤔

Anyone else in this bowl enjoy being single and gay in their 30s? E.g. I enjoy being able to get lit in Dolo in SF with friends and all their puppies on a Friday after working there all week and fly back to DC for bottomless brunch at Ambar at Eastern Market (9/10 would recommend if you’re in town) on the weekend. All traditional social expectations for someone in their 30s to have a family and settle down are thrown out the window and for that I’m grateful; it’s freeing.
