Roommate and I negotiated a 2-year lease at only 5% rent increase from a covid apartment deal. This place was undervalued last fall too when a wave of people moved to the city. Could have easily fetched +10% but the management office liked us for consistently paying our rent on time. There’s still hope out there for anyone willing to resign for more than 1 year.

Need some advise. I am fairly young/junior in the industry and was included in COVID layoffs. Still looking for work 2 1/2 years later. I was laid off when Covid hit as a Director of food and beverage in West Hollywood /Beverly Hills, relocated to Omaha Nebraska with the same organization to open a property. Laid off after the opening. I’ve been doing Task Force work since. Looking at vice president or Director roles hotels/restaurant companies! I have applied everywhere, nothing but ghosting treated disrespectfully, offered horrible salaries or told positions on hold. Need a Job

I personally feel that it's absolutely ludicrous the US government is not enforcing or at least asking people to wear masks in healthcare environments like at the pharmacy, doctor's offices, or the hospital. We all wear ours behind the counter but I had a patient come in today WITH covid to pick up her prescription, no mask. I get that she already has it so she isn't worried, but what about the other people around??

Discovered major pay difference between myself and two new male hires with equal experience. Asked for a raise and was shot down due to Covid and essentially told they make more (were talking a 30k) bc they don’t have my “other responsibilities” aKa my two kids. I know my productivity is effected by parental responsibility but I don’t feel that alone justifies the difference. I know our billable output isn’t drastically different. Not sure what my next steps should be and welcome any advice.
