In a predicament need some thoughts: I’m getting offered a new role (not a promotion, just a new role within my project) that has more lead level responsibilities. It seems if I take this role and do well at it, I could potentially get promoted mid year or end year. Now, this is coming at an interesting time when I was already looking to transition to a new company - an immediate transition will get me a quicker salary bump that I would otherwise have to wait a bit to get at my current company
Thinking of moving from NY to Austin after bschool (next couple years) to work and raise family. Prefer to stay in consulting or tech industry. Is it a good option?
Fishes - Any suggestions on creating a "roadmap" to promotion? Should it be in excel? ppt? visio? I feel like I have the data that needs to go in but need some suggestions on displaying this.
Hi! I’m a solution analyst, hired on a year ago as a campus hire. What is the typical raise associated with promotion to solution specialist? Is there a merit-based raise as well as a separate promotion raise? Just want an idea of what to expect. I’m also curious regarding the performance splits—how much more of a raise can a top performer expect than an average performer? Thanks!
CPI officially 7% for 2021! The scary part is this number is going to keep climbing well into 2022. The Feds plans to raise rates will only help so much but not solve the problem! What are people doing to hedge?
I'm currently an HR administrator working at $64 k. I want to ask for a raise or title change. I've been at this company 3 years job. What kind of title can I ask or proper raise amount? Working at a railway company in Toronto Ontario
I’m a new hire senior in my M&A group, there’s an associate in his promotion year working on my first deal with me..he’s never managed a deal before and he is driving me crazy. Completely steps over me because my title means nothing since I’m learning everything and he knows more, and is so condescending. I’m trying to be patient because he’s learning how to lead but he’s really pushing me to the edge. Any advice? He definitely does not know how to work with women either.
Let lower level of employees have a say in promotion of managers and senior managers. I see some worse co-workers got promoted just because they kiss bosses ass. Some technical skills, no leadership..

Any tips for advocating for yourself at work? I'm way overdue for a raise but I am not generally great at standing up for myself, speaking assertively, or inserting myself where I feel I might be impolite or pushy.
I was offered a large raise/promotion at my current company (Series A Funded, been here since seed round). I have the option to do stock or cash or a combo. Anyone have an idea on what to do for something like this? We have good funding and are considered a first mover in our vertical. It's SaaS but we are having issues figuring out our business model and product. We have a lot of F100 customers though. any suggestions?

Hey Folks! I spent the last year and used my bonus to pay off all my credit cards and started an emergency fund. I’m currently about half way to having 6 months of net pay saved. Right now I have the fund evenly split between a “high-yield” (.5%) MM account and a TD brokerage account invested in a in a index fund. My question is would it make more sense to put that brokerage money into a Roth IRA since I could take that principal out in a emergency. Also already maxing out my 401k. Thanks!
Where’s my sober as friends? Tough day yesterday. Bad client review made worse by internal interactions. So happy to have a program of sobriety and people to talk to, to keep my brain from fabricating it into a disaster. Back to the drawing board. Hope y’all are doing well.

I, a childless woman who does not plan to have kids, am jealous of the parental leave parents get to take from work from choosing to have a child (a big life event). I 100% understand that they are working in a different way by taking care of the baby and being deliriously worn out in the process, but it makes me sort of jealous that unless I have a kid there is no life event that I can take ~3 months away from work to focus on and enjoy, plus have my hours prorated and a job to come back to.
