I have recently been selected for a partner round at Deloitte for data science consultant position. Can someone tell me what they ask? Also what should be my expected salary in Ireland? Is it wise to state I want around 60k? Or are consultants not paid that much? Please help me. I am new to this. I have a work exp in consulting for 2.5 years and have done my masters recently. 1. PMI falls under “deals”
2. How are you doing diligence and working 50 hrs/week? Something doesn’t add up.

I’m at b4, S3 @155base, know that’s not what you asked for but it’s a data point, the market is hot rn so don’t lowball yourself!
I assume they have a premium to attract talents so interesting question!

Seconding this, curious if they pay better too haha
I'm a little detached from pay, but I think it's competitive. We have flexible time off (read: unlimited), bonus targets at 10-20% depending on level (with a history of payout, minus last year). Our employee ownership structure recently changed - I don't think we can quantify it yet. Also, FTO doesn't count against utilization, which encourages folks to take it. (I've got 4 weeks logged already).
WLB is pretty solid. Typically under 50 hours a week. We've been slammed (I assume like all everyone) lately. We've started taking steps to bring that back to normal. Target is probably 3 deals every two weeks (assumes about 30 hours per deal). The slamming has probably upped that to 4 every two weeks.
I'm also not pure M&A, but on the tech side of it. The comments above are consistent between teams. I've been around a while and feel great about our future. When comparing other firms, the only one I've been tempted by was A&M. Their pay model is dramatically different and can be exceptionally lucrative.
Just to add another point, at the director level you could be looking at $225k to $275k plus a target bonus of 20% (higher in good years) plus other incentives getting you in the $350k to $400k+ TC after a year or two. Sure, those 40 hours weeks will disappear, but I would say a 50h a week is average with some more some less and flexibility to carve out time to be with the kids vs other firms that believe kids are just something you finance for the future (looking at you, A&M)
SA1 @ KPMG Strategy - $145k base. 3 YOE. Work anywhere between 45-50 hours.
PwC2 - I think MBA Senior Associates get paid little bit higher.
