Running a 360 process for a company. If one of my managers ask me to provide peer feedback on them - should I?

Yes. It’s the point. Feedback is a good thing when delivered the right way

like

If the culture of the company is one of trust, honesty, transparency, if the process allows for a safe space for providing and receiving feedback without judgement, with the intention of learning - go for it. This is sort of the point of 360 feedback but (a) many companies do not have that culture and (b) managers need some education around how to frame feedback.

like

Yes but keep it anonymous!

Do you mean with names?

Yes- identifiable/with names. And I work with them in an HRBP capacity.

I wouldn’t do it, it can ruin credibility of the system, as feedback is supposed to be anonymous.
Couple managers I work with did a feedback session with all responders where they publicly announced results of 360 and asked for more feedback from everyone.

Resigning soon. I’ve been in the job a short time, but the boss is a real unique kind of bad apple that gets weirdly attached to everyone she hires like they’ll never leave ever. The team is long tenured but its for the money that they overlook the BIG mood swings and disrespectful demeanor. I expect the resignation will go bad with lots of badgering. Any tips?

How do I approach them in a way that makes me stand out?

I’m interested in a Success Operations Analyst or Sales Strategist role at a Y-Combinator FinTech startup. I’m a perfect match for the roles & I have the opportunity to speak directly to the founder but I’m not sure how to approach them in a way that makes me stand out but not too arrogant.

Any tips??

I was working at a Hotel one night & I saw a man appearing on two different floors, then in the stairwell. The man was in his 70’s or 80’s. He was wearing nothing but tidy whiteys. When he got to the front desk I asked “is everything alright? Are you okay?” (Assuming he may be senile),He wasn’t senile, he went swimming & wanted to make me uncomfortable and started to flirt while in his sopping wet see through tidy whiteys- and of course I had to clean up the water he tracked through the lobby.

Third-year in BL and just had a second round of interviews for an in-house position. It was surprisingly similar to a law firm callback with no real curveballs. They mentioned that as in-house counsel, you have to answer questions that you don’t always know the answer to. Frickin, how does that work without you committing malpractice, especially if you’re still a “baby attorney”? By just using lots of qualifiers in your answer? What happens if you get it wrong (hopefully not instant termination)

I am going to get a large bonus where after tax, I'll get a couple hundred thousand.

Should I prioritize pay off all credit cards or pay down half/some of the cards and use the rest for a house down payment?

I’m heavily considering and would love to transition from HR to Employment Law (employer side), however, that would require law school and I’m already in debt from getting my masters in HR. I’d like to get some insight on this though. Has anyone here ever made this type of transition or know of anyone who has? Was it worth it? Any regrets? Does it seem silly for me to do this having a masters without knowing if I’ll truly like it or not?

Thanks guys!
