Iâm in my 20âs and have a Porsche.
Super reliable
Hold value
Fun to drive
Hard to beat these three things.
Some people say itâs a waste of money yet are the same ones who go out drinking every weekend spending 500 dollars, life is short, enjoy it! If youâre saving how you want, 60k truly isnât that much for a car as a director with 1m net worth...
Dude get it. I have a Cayman S as my second car and love every second of it. Honestly has been my daily driver. I hit all investment goals. Itâs a toy so donât expect to not lose money, but youâll have fun. Donât listen to the people here who say drive a Camry for 20 years. Get a real driving machine!!!

"need" and "Porsche" don't go together.
False. Youâve clearly never driven a 911

Buy the car đ
Whatâs the point of being single / without restraint at 39 if you still have to behave conservatively? Live it up!

Do it đ
If youâve hit your investing goals for the year, your finances are buttoned up, and you are squared away with 6months of ICE cash...live your best life.
Do it. But after u buy ur house so it doesnât show up on credit check etc....
Whats life anyways? If it makes you happy, that's all that matters.
As long as itâs a turbo s why not ? Have some fun and they hold their value pretty well.
Although Iâd go new Supra and build it for 800whp. Will cost around the same for a street race car.
The new Supraâs are pretty. Damn. Fast. Stock. For 60k youâre looking at a 2004-2007 997 Porsche 911 turbo.
All depends what OP wants other than âa Porsche.â
Used Audi R8 (v8), Ferrari 355 (good luck with maintenance costs), might be able to stretch a gallardo if you choose.

Do it - it will hold value well and beats anything non-Italian on smiles per mile
Go for it, good thing is if you change your mind youâll only be down sales tax and a couple $k if you sell it in a year.
Naaa, save the cash. Unless its a new Porsche or fully tricked out itâs not worth it and just an expensive toy passed its prime. I feel the same for used luxury watches. Either afford the real thing or get a top model lower end car (BMW, benz, Jag, still luxury but not Porsche).
P1 - yea, I m pretty sure Iâll enjoy it. I just never spent / rewarded myself my entire life (except for international trips), so it just feels weird thinking about spending money on an expensive toy for myself
It may help you decide if you think about what % of your net worth this is?
Net worth just over a mil
Yolo!!
